Module Casting Mold
sections awaiting assembly at new portable factory location

The Module Casting Molds are the heart of the ASI Building System.  Each is composed of three transportable sections that can be quickly aligned and pinned together at a location where a factory is to be setup.  Each section is composed of steel forms.  It is the spaces between (and the area above) the forms that receive the door and window block outs, end-wall bulkheads, and steel reinforcement cages.  A machine called a Placer/Finisher fills the spaces between and the area over the forms with concrete as the sides and tops of the forms vibrate to assure uniform distribution and compaction.  When the concrete pour is complete, the forms are filled with steam to assure rapid curing and a uniform, high strength, casting.  After the concrete has cured, the forms are hydraulically contracted to release the casting so that it may be extracted by a gantry crane.  ASI Plants can produce three castings per day from each Module Casting Mold.
