New Cleveland Trencher is Prepared for Shipment

The infrastructure for a project the size of Eko Akete will require many hundreds of miles of underground plumbing and wiring. At a standard unit weight (without accessories) of 42,440 lbs (19250kgs), this Cleveland Trencher with its wheel diameter of 11' 7" (3.53M) and 36" (.91M) wide buckets, was customized for the bulk of that job. Capable of wheel speeds up to 17.7 RPM, with an infinitely variable crawl speed to 129 FPM (39.3M/Min.), it can dig trenches up to 7 feet (2.12M) in depth.

ASI Engineer Jim Johnson inspects the model 8700 before shipment from the Port of Houston. Next week the trencher will be loaded on a ship bound for the Port of Apapa, Lagos, Nigeria.
